Magical mansion for Bacardi heir

Residence on Walt Disney World resort property sells for $6.89M.

An heiress to the Bacardi estate has purchased a 9,027-square-foot mansion set on four-tenths of an acre in the gated Four Seasons Private Residences subdivisio­n at Golden Oak on the Walt Disney World resort property for a recorded $6,899,000.

Custom builder Stonebridg­e Homes was the seller, having purchased the lot in June 2015 for $1.274 million. The home, called Bonavento on the builder’s website, was listed for $6,989,000.

Buyer Hilda Maria Bacardi, the great-great granddaugh­ter of the Cuban-originated rum producer, is listed alongside Marlene J. Carbonell as trustees of the Hilda Maria Bacardi Living Trust in purchasing the new home, which was designed in an “Italianate” theme and backs up to a natural area.

The interior features a two-story great room lined with balconies, according to the website listing, along with a theater, a club room and an elevator. An interior-courtyard pool, spa, outdoor kitchen and double-sided fireplace provide outdoor living spaces.

Buyers in the neighborho­od may dine at the resort's six restaurant­s or book in-home catering and spa services, use the resort's golf course and tennis courts, and extensive pool facilities. this month with Orlando planning officials and owner/developer John Reich. Tavistock launched its own hotel division earlier this year.

Reich Properties has applied to rezone the 10-acre tract at the northwest corner of the Central Florida Greeneway - Narcoossee Road interchang­e for a Planned Developmen­t (PD) called Nona Village.

Building elevations filed with the new Developmen­t Plan indicate the user is Target.

Originally seeking 15,000 square feet, developer 3H Group – which is based in Tennessee and has two hotels in Metro Orlando – chose the 27,000-square-foot space at 450 S. Orange Ave. Opening is scheduled for March or April, a Serendipit­y spokeswoma­n said, with the extra space providing more common areas.

Altamonte Springsbas­ed Jim Macon Building Contractor, Inc., will perform $1.7 million worth of constructi­on work through property manager JLL.

Connectivi­ty throughout as well as furnishing­s, break-room design and inside suites, are designed with coworking in mind, said Jim Macon Jr., vice president of the constructi­on company.
