“I thought he did a good job,” Taggart said. “For the most part of the game, we’ve got to execute and put ourselves in position to execute.”

When asked why he decided to make the decision, the first-year coach said it was about evaluating the team’s needs.

Blackman said there really wasn’t much difference between the two coaches when it came to the play-calling.

“It doesn’t matter whether it’s coach Taggart calling the plays or coach Bell calling the plays, we’ve just got to go out there and execute the play that’s called,” Blackman said.

“I didn’t even know coach Bell was calling the plays,” receiver Tamorrion Terry said of the move. “I guess it takes a lot of stress off of coach Taggart. He can see the field and see what’s open and see how the defense is playing.”
