McCarthy has had teams rally late in seasons past, including in 2016, when quarterbac­k Aaron Rodgers famously said the team could “run the table” over the final six weeks. After starting 4-6, the Packers won eight straight games to win the NFC North and advance to the conference title game, in which they fell to the Falcons.

“I have great confidence. I’ve been in this position before, so I have confidence in how we do things,” McCarthy said.

“You have to react — there’s no doubt about that — but you can’t overreact. So, you’ve just got to stay in tune with the specifics and the details of why we’re not getting it done in those situations.”

Titans RT Jack Conklin was cleared from the concussion protocol after missing last week’s win over the Patriots, and OLB Derrick Morgan is set to return after missing the last three games with an injured shoulder . ... Chargers DE Joey Bosa and TE Antonio Gates are listed as questionab­le for Sunday against the Broncos. Coach Anthony Lynn said Bosa remains a game-time decision . ... Broncos LG Max Garcia is out for the season after tearing a knee ligament in practice. Garcia is the third Broncos offensive lineman to suffer a seasonendi­ng injury, joining C Matt Paradis and G Ronald Leary . ... The Lions ruled WR Marvin Jones out of Sunday’s game against the Panthers because of a knee injury. It will be only the second missed game for Jones in the last three-plus seasons. Panthers WR Torrey Smith also will miss the game with a knee injury.
