Tyler Perry is giving his character Madea a final tour that will visit Orlando for two shows.

The event is called “Tyler Perry’s Madea’s Farewell Play Tour.”

It will be performed at 3 and 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 10, at Orlando’s Amway Center. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday. It will be the 21st stage play with Perry playing Madea, an Atlanta grandmother. Perry first portrayed Madea in the 1999 stage play “I Can Do Bad All by Myself,” and it was followed “Diary of a Mad Black Woman,” which later became a film.

The film “A Madea Family Funeral” will be out March 1. But Perry can be seen sooner as Colin Powell in the film “Vice,” out on Christmas Day.

“Vice” focuses on former Vice President Dick Cheney (Christian Bale). The cast also includes Sam Rockwell as George W. Bush, Steve Carell as Donald Rumsfeld and Amy Adams as Lynne Cheney.

The final “Madea” tour starts Jan. 18 in Oakland. Joining Perry will be Tamela Mann, David Mann and Cassi Davis.

Ticket prices start at $45. They can be purchased at the Amway Center box office, Ticketmaster retail locations, Ticketmaster.com or by phone at 1-800-745-3000.
