An 18-year-old Orlando man shot and killed a 17-year-old girl while playing with a revolver, after inviting a room full of teenagers to play Russian Roulette, according to authorities.

Carrevious Davis faces charges of second-degree murder and contributing to the delinquency of a child after Tatyanna Semion was shot in Davis’ Cinderlane Parkway apartment in northwest Orlando. Davis was arrested Thursday afternoon and is being held without bond in the Orange County Jail.

Authorities said Davis’ unit at the Aventura Apartments complex was a hangout and “party spot” for teenagers. Early July 11, Davis was in the apartment with Tatyanna and four other children, aged 13 to 16, when he pulled out a silver revolver and started waving it around, one of the witnesses told police.

When one of the children, 13, picked up the revolver and pulled the hammer back, Davis said he didn’t know how to decock the weapon. He joined the child out back as she shot a round into the lake behind his apartment, authorities said.

The 13-year-old told authorities she went back into the apartment to play video games when she heard a gunshot. She ran into the living room and heard Davis yelling Tatyanna’s name, begging her not to die.

Another teen said he was in the living room with Davis and Tatyanna when Davis picked up the revolver and said, “Let’s play Russian Roulette,” according to authorities. He said he looked down at his phone and heard a gunshot. The teen said Davis began panicking and pacing around the room, before leaving with the revolver.

Authorities said the revolver has not been recovered.

In the days after the shooting, authorities said Davis evaded their attempts to interview him.
