Two Florida State football players were named to the 2019 preseason All-ACC team selected by media.

Wide receiver Tamorrion Terry and defensive tackle Marvin Wilson earned spots on the preseason team revealed Tuesday.

Terry, a redshirt sophomore, was named to the watch list for the Biletnikoff Award, which is presented to the nation’s top receiver. Last year, he became the first Seminole with two 70-yard touchdown catches in a season since Peter Warrick in 1998, and that total ranks first in the NCAA among 2019 returners. Terry also ranks third in the nation among returners with a 21.3 yards per reception average and 39.1 yards per touchdown reception average. He ranks sixth in catches per touchdown ratio with a score every 4.375 catches last season.

Wilson earned the most points among defensive tackles, totaling 105 — 56 more than the second-place player. Wilson, a junior, recorded 42 tackles, 4.5 tackles for a loss, 3.5 sacks, four quarterback hurries, two pass break-ups and forced one fumble last season on his way to All-ACC honorable mention honors. He also earned FSU’s Bobby Bowden Leadership Award.

Additionally, running back Cam Akers was one of five athletes to receive at least one vote for ACC Player of the Year. Clemson quarterback Trevor Lawrence earned the top award.

Akers enters his junior year on the watch lists for the Maxwell Award (top player) and the Doak Walker Award (top running back) this preseason.

Akers broke FSU’s freshman rushing record in 2017 and enters the 2019 season already ranked 18th in program history with 1,730 career rushing yards.

FSU projection: Florida State was picked to finish third in the ACC’s Atlantic Division behind defending champion Clemson and second-place Syracuse in the preseason media poll.

Virginia earned the top spot in the Coastal Division, followed by Miami.

The Tigers are projected to repeat as ACC champions.
