-

state champ in Class 2A and top seed in its region, will meet district rival International Community for the second time in eight days and fourth time this season. The Knights are just 10-10 this season, but that record is a product of the most challenging schedule Geneva has ever played.

Also in 2A, First Academy Leesburg (15-1) meets district rival Mount Dora Christian for the fourth time this year. The host Eagles have won 14 consecutive matches, including a district final against MDC, since losing at Seven Rivers Christian on Aug. 26.

Legacy Charter (17-3) benefited from the wildcard system after losing a 2A, District 6 semifinal in five sets to Lakeland Victory Christian. The Eagles got new life as an at-large entry based on their regular-season success and will play the champion of its district, Foundation Academy, on Thursday. Legacy beat Foundation in a close 3-1 match last month.

Lake Highland Prep, which has sat atop the Sentinel Super Six area rankings and the Class 4A state ratings all season, will host Lincoln Park Academy of Fort Pierce on Thursday.

Bishop Moore (11-12) owns the second-best power rating in its region, but as a district runner-up behind LHP, the Hornets are the fifth seed and will play on the road Thursday.

District champions occupy the top four slots in each region and get home matches this week.

Hagerty, Lyman and East

Ridge are the 1-2-3 seeds in that order in Class 7A, Region 1. Four of the eight teams in that region bracket are from District 2: Lyman, Oviedo, Spruce Creek and DeLand.
