6-foot-3, 219 pounds, as traits good enough to secure an opportunity at the professional level.

He is eager to prove a team should call his name at some point during April’s NFL draft.

“I’m honestly not sure. I’ve heard late rounds, anywhere from four through seven. It’s really kind of all up in the air,” Westbrook said. “All I need is a shot and that’s all I can ask for.”

Westbrook said he enjoyed his week in St. Petersburg with all the other college all-stars.

“It’s been a blessing,” he said. “It’s been really cool to play with a bunch of different guys from all over the country and a bunch of different conferences. … It’s just an honor to be invited here and it’s a lot more than a game. Going to the Shriners Hospital was a really cool experience, so overall it’s been week.”

Westbrook wasn’t sure what the future had in store for him when he signed with Indiana in 2015, but he made a nice career for himself as a Hoosier, even after suffering a torn ACL early in his time at IU.

“I’m proud, especially after this past year, when we were kind of able to break through a little bit and finally get a winning season. An eight-win season was great, and I can’t wait to see what they do in the future,” Westbrook said.

The highlight of his career was the Hoosiers’ big victory at Nebraska this past season.

“That was like a turning point for us as a team and that big road win in such a cool environment that is Lincoln kind of led into the rest of the season,” Westbrook said.
