holds in every circumstance. In a baby under 3 or 4 months old, parents should check in with the pediatrician for even a mild fever (a bit over 100 degrees).

For older children and adults, other symptoms might be more significant. If a child is playing, eating and drinking normally, even a fever up to 102 might not need treatment. The American Academy of Pediatrics states: “It should be emphasized that fever is not an illness but is, in fact, a physiologic mechanism that has beneficial effects in fighting infection” (Pediatrics, March 1, 2011).

According to the Mayo Clinic, check with the doctor if a toddler is irritable, lethargic and uncomfortable or if the temperature goes over 102. Those experts use 102 as the cutoff even for adults. If the fever lasts for days (even if it is not as high as 102) or the person feels ill, consult a doctor.

at my greedy and self serving cable company. Knowing kids are stuck at home and knowing parents are desperate to keep them occupied, they have the nerve to jack up the price on the new Trolls movie (on demand) to $19.99 per rental! Most new rentals are $6.99 max. Disgusting!

who complained because someone was wearing a mask while driving: First, once you put it on to go out in public, why keep taking it off every time you get back in your car? The less you touch it, the better. Second, perhaps someone else was in the car and they were protecting each other. Third, at least they were wearing a mask, which is more than some selfish, lazy people do. Finally, what’s it to you? How pathetic that this bothers you.

MYOB and focus on your driving.

that Seminole County wasted paper, ink and postage by mailing me a thick registration card packet when I’ve been registered for absentee voting for years now as I am handicapped. Why can’t they keep better records and not waste funds? Shame on them!

tell the guys in the cable ad on TV to slow down and enunciate. I can’t understand half of what they are saying.

a perpetrator can sue the police for not properly training and supervising an officer, and we can’t sue a perp’s parents/family for not properly training him.
