Universal Orlando: Passholder appreciation days start Monday

- By Dewayne Bevil

Universal Orlando has announced a lineup of benefits for its annual passholders appreciation days event, which begins Monday.

Passholders will be able to land commemorative buttons and UOAP magnets on their next visits to the theme parks. There will also be dedicated lanes at the parking garage gate and into Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure theme parks throughout the event, which runs through Sept. 30.

The resort has also introduced a menu of about 20 food and drink items available for passholder asking at the theme parks and Universal CityWalk. Among the options: chocolate waffle at Toothsome Chocolate Emporium, ale-braised short rib beef sliders at Universal Studios restaurant Finnegans, and roasted cauliflower steak at IOA’s Confisco Grille. There also will be a special passholder doughnut for sale at

Voodoo Doughnut in CityWalk.

Universal’s passholders on the premier and preferred levels will receive early admission into Universal Studios during appreciation days; power and seasonal passholders can get early admission on select dates in that period. Three-park passholders can also enter Volcano Bay water park early. Universal also will be selling a UOAPbranded popcorn bucket and a newly designed T-shirt.

The event is similar to last year’s passholder days. Absent from the 2020 edition are exclusive after-hours events. Email me at dbevil@orlandosentinel.com. Want more theme park news?
