■ Dodgers: Kiké Hernández hit a three-run drive and Mookie Betts went deep twice as part of a seven-HR attack, powering the host Dodgers past the Rockies 11-3 for a threegame sweep. Fleming is the 11th different starter in 29 games this season for the injury-filled Rays pitching staff. Jays starter Trent Thornton left after a scoreless inning with right elbow inflammation. That came just few hours after another rotation member, Matt Shoemaker, went on the 10-day IL due to right shoulder inflammation. Rays manager Kevin Cash was ejected in the sixth for arguing a check-swing call.

■ Cubs, White Sox: Yu Darvish struck out 10 in his career-high fifth consecutive victory, and the host Cubs ended the White Sox’s seven-game win streak with a 2-1 victory. Kyle Schwarber hit a tworun HR in the sixth the Cubs won for just the fourth time in their last 11 games. The NL Central leaders were outscored 17-5 in the first two games of the series. Abreu connected five times in the first two games against the Cubs, including three HRs and four RBIs in Saturday night’s 7-4 win. Darvish (5-1) allowed one run and six hits in seven innings.

■ Extra innings: Gregory Polanco’s two-run HR in the eighth lifted the host Pirates to a 5-4 victory over the Brewers and a threegame series sweep. The Pirates nearly doubled their season win total in one weekend . ... The Giants designated veteran OF Hunter Pence for assignment. Pence, 37, is hitting just .096 with two HR and six RBIs in 52 at-bats this season after rejoining the Giants in the offseason. He had seemingly resurrected his career last season with the Rangers when he hit .297 with 18 HRs and 59 RBIs and was selected as an AL All-Star.
