Radulov goal in OT lifts Stars to Game 3 win

Alexander Radulov scored 31 seconds into OT on a wrister from the middle of the right circle and the third-seeded Stars beat the topseeded Golden Knights 3-2 on Thursday night to take a 2-1 series lead in the Western Conference final in Edmonton, Alberta.

Radulov’s third career OT goal was the only shot in the Game 3 extra time.

Anton Khudobin had 40 saves, including 16 in the third after giving up two goals earlier in the period.

■ The Lightning, already minus captain Steven Stamkos, will be without forward Alex Killorn for Game 3 of the Eastern Conference final series against the Islanders on Friday. Killorn was suspended by the NHL for a blindside hit in the second-seeded Lightning’s Game 2 victory. The Lightning also could be without leading playoff scorer Brayden Point, who exited the game with an injury. The Lightning lead the sixth-seeded Islaes 2-0 in the best-of-seven series.

Auto racing: Bubba Wallace will leave Richard Petty Motorsport­s at the end of the NASCAR Cup Series season. Wallace, who’s 26 and the only full-time Black driver in the series, has a career-best five top-10 finishes this season.

Cycling: Tour de France rookie Marc Hirschi, 22, of Switzerlan­d won Stage 12. Primoz Roglic of Slovenia kept the yellow jersey.

Golf: Nelly Korda shot an openingrou­nd 6-under 66 to take a one-shot lead at the ANA Inspiratio­n in Rancho Mirage, Calif. In Gee Chun and Madelene Sagstrom were tied for second at the major. ... Russell Knox shot an opening-round 9-under 63 to take a one-shot lead at the PGA Tour’s Safeway Open in Napa, Calif.
