Ticked off! @over and over again

-

I am disgusted with the selfish homeowners in English Estates who are opposing sidewalks. The properties bordering the roads do not belong to you, as they are easements. Sidewalks allow families, their kids and their pets to walk safely. We have huge trees bordering most streets here in Winter Park — sidewalks that have been installed do not injure the trees — (that) installers even curve the sidewalks around the tree trunks.

I’m ticked off at a local restaurant allowing their bar to be pretty full with football fans cheering their team, no mask or social distancing. The bar seemed to be at capacity. COVID-19 will never be controlled if this continues.

The TV cable company shows the same few movies over and over and I’m ticked off. Time has come to change the programming. Not to mention the same irritating commercials over and over.

The flip side

I had the nicest surprise when I took my birthday coupon to the Lake Mary Arby’s! The coupon said I could get free small fries and shake by buying a sandwich. So I ordered my sandwich and handed the young man at the counter my coupon. He said: “Thank you for coming to Arby’s to eat on your birthday, I am going to take care of you.” Then he proceeded to give me my sandwich, a large shake, a large fries, and would not take my payment. His name tag said assistant manager. I said “You don’t have to do that,” and he said, ”You could have gone lots of places for your birthday, and you chose Arby’s. I am happy to give you this gift.” What a great ad for the company, and a happy surprise for me!
