ANNIE RUSSELL THEATRE
The theater is on the campus of Rollins College, 1000 Holt Ave. in Winter Park. Second Stage productions are completely studentrun, and admission is free. Mainstage
ANNIE STRIPPED: Oct. 9-17. Three plays by women writers will open a season dedicated to female playwrights. The shows will be presented to limited audiences of faculty, students and staff only.
THE WOLVES: Nov. 13-21. On a suburban soccer field, a team of female adolescent warriors prepares for battle: both on the AstroTurf and against the emerging menace of adulthood. Rollins will present this show, the first in the season open to the public, outdoors.
AS IT IS IN HEAVEN: Feb. 12-20, 2021. Rollins alumna Arlene Hutton will direct her own play, about the collision of faith and fanaticism when a newcomer to an 1830s religious community claims to see angels. (More information under “Three to See.”)
LEGALLY BLONDE: THE MUSICAL: April 16-24, 2021. Based on the book and film, the show follows Elle Woods as she chases a boy to Harvard Law School but finds her own voice there instead.
Second Stage
BOY GETS GIRL: Oct. 21-24. A woman fights back after a creepy blind date turns into an obsession. (This performance not open to the general public.)
LUNA GALE: Feb. 3-6, 2021. A veteran social worker must confront the shadowy past of a complicated family — and make an impossible decision — when she intervenes with a neglected child.
LATE, A COWBOY SONG: April 7-10, 2021. A female cowboy rides outside the limits of convention to find true love.

THE FANTASTICKS!: Sept. 25-Oct. 18. Parents try to control their grown children’s lives in the classic musical.
ELF, THE MUSICAL: Nov. 28-Dec. 20. Based on the movie, the musical asks if a modern family can learn to believe in the magic of Santa Claus.
SHREK, THE MUSICAL TYA: Jan. 22-Feb. 7, 2021. The shorter, child-friendly version of the musical, based on the animated movie about an ogre’s quest for love.

MOONLIGHT AND MAGNOLIAS: Through Sept. 27. In this farce, three men rewrite the script of “Gone With the Wind” during the golden age of Hollywood.
A TUNA CHRISTMAS: Oct. 30-Nov. 15. Two performers spin a holiday tale as they portray the population of a rural Texas town in the throes of a Christmas yarddisplay contest.
TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD: 2-18, 2021. Christopher Sergel adapted Harper Lee’s famed novel about segregation, prejudice and one man’s conviction and courage.
MAMMA MIA!: June 25-July 11, 2021. The music of Abba tells the story of Sophie’s unconventional wedding on a Greek island.

HALLOWEEN DOWNTEENERS: Oct. 31. The company bridges theater’s generational gap by pairing its top teens with Tim Hanes’ The DownTowners, a senior-citizen choir, for an online performance on the Beth Marshall Presents Facebook and YouTube pages.
HOLIDAY DOWNTEENERS: Premieres Dec. 11. The teen-senior collaboration continues with new holiday songs released weekly on the Beth Marshall Presents Facebook and YouTube pages.
Nov. 13. New work, in collaboration with Daytona State College and playwright-performer Paris Crayton III, created with the perspectives of various races, cultures, ages, abilities and sexual orientations. Crayton will debut a new work online, which will remain available through Nov. 30.

A CHRISTMAS SCAROL: Dec. 11-13. Terrifying spirits take Tim on a journey through the past, present and future as he struggles to pick out a Christmas gift for his highmaintenance girlfriend.
BREAKTHROUGH FAMILY CHRISTMAS: Dec. 18-20. Friends and family share their favorite holiday songs and memories in this annual event.
BEST OF BROADWAY:198089: Jan. 15-17, 2021. A musical revue of songs from Broadway productions of the 1980s.
CRAZY LITTLE THING CALLED LOVE 3: Feb. 12-14, 2021. For the third time, the theater presents original short plays by local writers — all about love.
THE INCOMPLETE LIFE AND RANDOM DEATH OF MOLLY DENHOLTZ: March 12-14, 2021. A student cast tells the story of a high school dealing with grief after a classmate dies in a car accident.
CREATIVE CITY PROJECT

HADESTOWN: Sept. 21-26, 2021. Greek tragedy and the frailties of humanity are seen through a modern lens.
TOOTSIE: Nov. 2-7, 2021. The Dustin Hoffman movie about a man who dons a dress to get a job is adapted as a stage musical.
PERFECT ARRANGEMENT: March 5-15, 2021. In this comedy, set during the 1950s Red Scare, Bob and Norma hide their sexual orientations through sham marriages.
SIX DEGREES OF SEPARATION: May 7-17, 2021. A middle-class couple is thrown into upheaval by the arrival of a wounded young man in this look at how people are connected.
