Fun Spot prepping escape room, trick-or-treating
Fun Spot is introducing an escape room at its Orlando location and is adding Halloween trick-or-treating there and at its Kissimmee location in October. The attractions also will include “fright bites” menus for a limited time.
The Real Escape Room debuts Oct. 1 with reservations available through Nov. 1. Its theme revolves around John Arie Jr., the company’s CEO and “it’s huge” guy, who visits a property’s open house but sends out a distress signal indicating a ghostly encounter.
Participants have 15 minutes to solve the mystery. The escape room experience accommodates between four and six people per tour, and reservation times are assigned at the admissions booth on the day of visit at the Orlando park, which is near International Drive. Tickets are $15 per person. Visitors must wear masks, and gloves will be supplied by Fun Spot. The room will be sanitized between groups.
The escape room is recommended for ages 7 and older, Fun Spot says.
Trick-or-treating will be held at several “candy spots” at the Orlando and Kissimmee locations from 47 p.m. on Saturdays in October. Costumes are encouraged. Face coverings are required, but costume masks cannot be worn. Visitors are asked to bring their own reusable bags.
Fun Spot’s seasonal menus include Nacho Mummy’s chicken, pumpkin spice milkshakes, Frankenstein Funnel Cake (made with green batter), Frightful Fries (with queso blanco, beef brisket, Hot Cheetos Crumbles) and other items. On the “spooky spirits” side, adults can try the purple people eater and witches blood drinks, Fun Shot Syringes and others.
