Ticked off! @radio reception

-

So, here’s another hurricane year when we have to use Greek alphabet letters! Why name a storm that never reaches hurricane status? Why name a storm that will not hit anywhere in the U.S.?

To the person ticked off at not being able to find a good watermelon: slap them lightly with your hand. The one that sounds hollow will be good. If the stem is dark and there is a large white spot where it sat, even better! Better move fast though, the season’s almost over!

I’m ticked off that a local radio news station changed it’s radio frequency over to one with a very weak signal providing minimal reception at best.

The builder/architect

who did the major remodel of the house in Audubon Park built a huge, towering façade, with posts/columns and roof, at the front door, yet the slanted house roof goes under it, pouring rainwater directly onto anyone walking to or from the front door. It is like standing under an umbrella while someone sprays you with a hose. The façade is useless and must have cost a fortune. Somebody got robbed.

To the person ticked off about the repairs being done to International Speedway Boulevard between Daytona Beach and Deland….Hope you are enjoying how smooth our repairs are now that the patches have been ground down for the final part of the repairs. The project should be complete within the next week, so you can find something else to complain about. The Florida Department of Transportation is very satisfied with our job.

I’m ticked off that the large gym in Buenaventura Lakes is expanding its personal training area and took the machines and crowded them all together. No social distancing at all!
