Jurassic Quest brings realistic dinosaurs to Orlando drive-thru experience
Tyrannosaurus rex, triceratops and even a megalodon will soon take over the parking areas at the Orange County Convention Center as Jurassic Quest brings its life-sized prehistoric creatures to Orlando.
The touring drive-thru experience will feature more than 70 moving dinosaurs that are “ready and raring to return from extinction,” according to a press release. Attendees can experience these beasts up close while driving past realistic scenes Jan. 27-Feb. 7. In addition, visitors can spend time with baby dinosaurs and a team of dino trainers with a chance for safari-style photo ops.
Highlights of the experience include a 50-foot megalodon and an 80-foot Spinosaurus.
Houston-based Jurassic Quest has been bringing dinosaurs and people together since 2014 and has brought the drive-thru experience to an estimated 1.5 million people in cities from New York to Boston, Atlanta and Detroit.
An audio tour is available in English and Spanish with special accommodations available for those who are hard of hearing. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, guests must remain in vehicles during the experience and wear masks as they exit the vehicle in select areas.
Jurassic Quest takes place Jan. 27-Feb. 7 (closed Feb. 1-2) at 9899 International Drive in Orlando. Hours vary by date. Tickets cost $49 for a vehicle with eight passengers or fewer. Add-ons are available with toys and take-home activities. A 10 percent discount is available for police, military, medical personnel and first responders with a valid ID.
