Winnie Smith

Winnie Smith passed away peacefully on July 12 surrounded by her beloved. She was born in San Francisco on June 20, 1942 to Robert and Margaret Kao, the second of four children. After Winnie graduated from high school, she studied art and earned her BA in Education. After graduation, Winnie taught at a local elementary school until her marriage to John Smith in 1968. The couple moved to Smithville shortly after, then relocated to Springfield in 1973 with their two daughters. Winnie returned to teaching in
