Swan and Dolphin Resort food event gets spring edition

- By Dewayne Bevil

Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort is preparing a springtime version of its food and wine event for April. The first-time, one-night-only, limited ticket occasion is set for April 17.

Twelve food stations will highlight selections from the resort’s restaurants, including St. Louisstyle ribs from Smokin’ D’s BBQ, prime New York strip loin from Shula’s Steak House, shrimp and grits from Todd English’s bluezoo and vegetarian bao served in Chinatown. Wine samplings from around the world will be available.

Tickets, including unlimited food and beverage tastings, are $125 per person. Participants must be at least 21 years old. Room packages are available that include event access for two adults.

Pandemic protocols include temperature screenings, touchless menus, Plexiglass walls for food-service areas, socially distanced food stations. Face coverings will be required — even for people who have received a COVID-19 vaccine — except when dining.

The traditional fall version of the Swan and Dolphin Food & Wine Classic is scheduled for Oct. 29-30.

For tickets, go to foodandwineclassic.com. (The full menu is there as well.) To book rooms, call 888-828-8850 between 8:30 a.m. and 7 p.m. on weekdays (5 p.m. on weekends).
