Full Sail grads have presence at Grammys

Full Sail University announced that 57 graduates have been credited on 59 Grammy-nominated projects at the 63rd annual awards ceremony.

“We are humbled and honored to celebrate the amazing achievemen­ts of our graduates each year at the Grammy Awards and look forward to tuning in on March 14 in honor of their incredible profession­al successes,” Jay Noble, vice president of alumni at Full Sail University, said in a press release.

In the past 29 years, the school’s graduates have been involved with 19 Grammy-winning Album of the Year releases. During this year’s awards, Full Sail alumni have mixed, mastered, produced and assisted in the creation of nominated work in 39 categories, including Record of the Year and Album of the Year.

And four alumni are eligible to earn a Grammy.

Andrew Coleman — engineer for Best Engineered Album, Non-Classical for Beck’s “Hyperspace”

Josh Gudwin — mixer for Record of the Year for Dua Lipa’s “Don’t Start Now” as well as Album of the Year for Dua Lipa’s “Future Nostalgia”

Colin Leonard — mastering engineer for Record of the Year for Beyoncé’s “Black Parade” as well as for Megan Thee Stallion (featuring Beyoncé’s) “Savage”

Stuart White — engineer and mixer for Record of the Year for Beyoncé’s “Black Parade” as well as for Megan Thee Stallion (featuring Beyoncé’s) “Savage”

The Grammy Awards, hosted by Trevor Noah, will be broadcast live at 8 p.m. Sunday from the Staples Center in Los Angeles. For more informatio­n, go to grammy.com.
