COVID-19 vaccine sites in Central Florida: Here’s where to get shots
All Floridians 40 and older are now eligible to get the COVID-19 vaccine, and anyone 18 and older will be eligible starting April 5. The state also will allow 16- and 17-year-olds to get the Pfizer shot — the only COVID-19 vaccine currently approved for teenagers — starting April 5, if they have a form signed by a legal guardian or that guardian accompanies them to the site.
Meanwhile, the four federally operated vaccine hubs in Florida, including the one at Valencia College’s West Campus, will stay open a month longer than previously announced, and each will have 3,000 first doses of the vaccine — far more than the previous limit of 500 doses per day.
Overall, the number of COVID-19 vaccination sites in Central Florida is also growing rapidly as federal, state and county governments, retail pharmacies, employers and houses of worship join the effort. Who’s eligible for the vaccine can vary widely from site to site, and the rules change regularly.
We have compiled a list of vaccination sites across Central Florida that will be updated frequently.
There’s also a statewide email address for homebound seniors to register to have the COVID-19 vaccine brought directly to them. To request vaccination, email HomeboundVaccine@ em.myflorida.com or call 1-866-779-6121.

ORANGE COUNTY CONVENTION CENTER, 9800 International Dr., Orlando: This is a drivethru site, with appointments required through the state vaccine portal (https://www. patientportalfl.com/s/?language=en_US). The site will have 4,680 doses for the week, and appointments filled quickly Monday morning.
Who’s eligible: Full- or part-time Florida residents age 40 and up (18 and older on April 5); long-term health care facility residents and staff (any age); health-care professionals with direct patient contact (any age); all educators and staff in schools, colleges, licensed day care centers or recognized after-school or Head Start programs (any age); any employees of police, fire or corrections agencies (any age); extremely vulnerable or high-risk adults (any age, but must have required state form signed by doctor).

ORANGE COUNTY LIBRARY SOUTH TRAIL BRANCH, 4600 Orange Blossom Trail, Orlando:
Operated under a partnership of the Orange County Library System, Orange County’s Office of Emergency Management and the Florida Division of Emergency Management, this site is for walk-up vaccinations only with no appointments needed. It is expected to run for six to 10 weeks, depending on vaccine supply.
Who’s eligible: Florida residents age 40 and older (18 and older on April 5); healthcare professionals with direct patient contact (any age); extremely medical vulnerable or high-risk residents (any age, but must have required state form signed by doctor).
Hours: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (or while daily allotment lasts), seven days a week.
VALENCIA COLLEGE’S WEST CAMPUS, 1800 S. Kirkman Road, Orlando:
This FEMA site is run through a federal-state partnership offering vaccines on a first-come, first-served basis. The site is providing 3,000 first doses of the Pfizer vaccine per day through May 26, with remaining vaccine going to second doses.
Who’s eligible: Florida residents age 40 and older (18 and older starting April 5); long-term health care facility residents and staff (any age); health-care professionals with direct patient contact (any age); all educators and staff in schools, colleges or licensed day cares (any age); extremely medical vulnerable or high-risk people (any age adult, but must have required state form signed by doctor).
Hours: 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., seven days a week.
ORLANDO VA MEDICAL CENTER, 13800 Veterans Way, Orlando: This is a VA-run site, located in the fourth-floor auditorium of the Lake Nona facility. Appointments and walk-ins are welcome. To schedule, call 407-631-0499 Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m.- 4 p.m.
Who’s eligible: All enrolled and eligible veterans regardless of age.
Hours: Monday 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Tuesday through Friday 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
LAKE BALDWIN VA MEDICAL CENTER, 5201 Raymond St., Orlando: This is a VA-run site, located in Auditorium B of the facility. Appointments and walk-ins are welcome. To schedule, call 407-631-0499.
Who’s eligible: All enrolled and eligible veterans regardless of age.
Hours: Tuesday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. for appointments; 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. for walk-ins.
UCF & VALENCIA COLLEGE DOWNTOWN CAMPUS, 500 W. Livingston St., Orlando:
The site is offering COVID-19 vaccinations on a walk-up basis while supplies last. Residents may park at the UCF Parramore Parking Garage, 323 N. Parramore Ave., Orlando.
Who’s eligible: 40 and older on Wednesday (18 and older starting April 7); long-term care residents and staff, health-care workers with direct patient contact, employees of educational institutions; and people with approved documentation from a physician deeming them to be extremely vulnerable to COVID-19.
Hours: Wednesday, April 7 and April 14 only, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Seniors who lack transportation may qualify for a free ride from LYNX. You must have a scheduled appointment at the Orange County Convention Center before calling 407-836-3111 to request a scheduled ride. Seniors also may ride LYNX to the Valencia College site, which does not require an appointment.

OVIEDO MALL, 1360 Oviedo Mall Boulevard, Oviedo (enter from the parking lot closest to District Eat & Play): This is an appointment-only site. Appointments are currently booked through through April 3, but check back frequently in case of cancellations and future openings. New appointments are posted each Tuesday.

NORTHLAND CHURCH MOBILE SITE, 530 Dog Track Road in Longwood: This is a temporary site operated by the Seminole County Office of Emergency Management and Florida Department of Health in Seminole and open March 31 and April 1 by appointment only.

New appointments for the Oviedo Mall vaccine site will be posted to PrepareSeminole.org’s vaccine section each Tuesday, pending vaccines are received in order to guarantee appointments for the following week. Eventbrite, the appointment system utilized by Seminole County, has a feature to “follow” events created by Seminole County to receive notification if cancellations result in available appointments.
Homebound residents should call the county’s Citizen’s Information Line at (407) 665-0000 to request an in-home vaccination visit. The request will be screened for eligibility, with paramedics scheduling in-home visits.

ST. PATRICK CATHOLIC CHURCH, 6803 Old Hwy. 441, Mt. Dora: Open for first and second doses on a first-come, first-served basis on Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Thursday 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Open for 1st and 2nd doses on a first come, first served basis.
AMAZON DISTRIBUTION SITE, 7453 Republic Drive, Groveland: Open for first and second doses on a first-come, first-served basis Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., with extended hours on Wednesday to 7 p.m. The site will close permanently after April 2. Schedules are based on vaccine availability.
ORLANDO HEALTHSOUTH LAKE HOSPITAL, 1900 Don Wickham Dr., Clermont: This is an appointment-only site run by Orlando Health, which is offering vaccines for eligible persons when supplies become available. Call (877) 321-2684 for more information or to make an appointment.

CENTRO CRISTIANO DIOS DE PACTOS CHURCH, 1130 Simmons Road, Kissimmee:
This is an appointment-only site with preregistration required through the state vaccine portal or by calling or call 866-201-6507. Residents will be contacted by the county’s vendor to schedule their first dose appointment; the Health Department will schedule the second dose.

65th INFANTRY VETERANS PARK, 301 Buenaventura Blvd., Kissimmee: This walk-up site opened Thursday and provides up to 200 shots a day. No appointments required.
Who’s eligible: Florida residents or part-time residents age 40 and older (18 and older starting April 5); health-care professionals with direct patient contact (any age adult); extremely medical vulnerable or highrisk people (any age, but must have required state form signed by doctor).
Hours: daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. or until the day’s doses are depleted.
MORE INFORMATION: Residents who are 40 and older (18 and older on April 5) who have obtained an appointment for a COVID19 shot and do not have a way to transport themselves to the Osceola County vaccine site at Centro Cristiano Dios De Pactos Church can call 407-742-0000 between 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday-Friday to find out how to qualify for a ride. Lynx needs at least a 48 hour prior notice to schedule a ride through the Office of Emergency Management (OEM). Since the OEM does not operate on weekends, any ride needed for a Saturday or Monday, must be made the prior Thursday at the latest.
The county also is partnering with Prescriptions Unlimited in St. Cloud to provide vaccinations to home-bound patients 60 and older and home health providers. Providers seeking vaccinations for their staff or patients may call 407-8927166 or email covid19@ unlimitedrx.com to schedule an appointment. Appointments are required.

Volusia County
VOLUSIA COUNTY FAIRGROUNDS, 3150 E New York Ave, DeLand:
This is a state-supported vaccination site with appointments required through the state vaccine portal at myvaccine.fl.gov or 866-201-7314. (Walk-ups are not accepted.) Individuals who received their first dose COVID-19 vaccine at the Volusia County Fairgrounds should return to the same location on the date written on the back of their vaccination card to receive their second dose.
