Ticked off! @Orlando Magic

-

I saw another article about pedestrian safety and how drivers need to be more aware and that ticks me off. I drive on South Orange Blossom Trail almost every day. Pedestrians constantly jaywalk, especially from the bus stops. They don’t look first, they just run across the street, against the light. And why do we waste our money on crosswalks and sidewalks when they are rarely used? I’m a careful driver and I cringe every time I drive on this street.

I was relieved to see others are offended by local Orlando evening news boring us with “Steals and Deals.” I am offended daily and ask that channel to stop it, just point idiots to QVC.

I am ticked off at the Orlando Magic’s “fire sale.” The Magic and the entire NBA need to stop drafting “underclassmen.” All college underclassmen need to stay in college. The NBA owners need to stop throwing millions and millions of money at the “one and (dumber) done” childish, pampered players. Only draft players who have actually graduated with a degree who are adults.

I am ticked that the Magic destroyed their team because “they weren’t going to win a championship” and transformed it into a team that can’t win a single game. More than half of the 30 NBA teams have no chance of winning the championship, so should they all dismantle their teams as well? The “Seattle Magic” has a nice ring to it.

The flip side

Thank you, DeLand, for having free and ample parking for your spring arts and crafts festival. It is refreshing to go to an event and not be gouged to park our cars, and we were able to park right on the street in front of the park!
