Tickets for Marvel’s much-anticipated “SpiderMan: No Way Home” went on sale at midnight on Nov. 29, and demand was so intense that movie ticket sites like AMC, Atom and Fandango crashed as loyal fans rushed to be among the first to snag seats for one of the most anticipated films of the year.

As a result, many opening weekend showtimes at popular Central Florida theaters, including the AMC Disney Springs 24, Studio Movie Grill — Sunset Walk and Universal Cinemark at CityWalk, either have very limited seating or are completely sold out.

Central Florida residents still looking to get tickets can check out the official “Spider-Man: No Way Home” ticketing site and input their zip code for an aggregated list of major movie theaters showing the film, including AMC, Cinemark, Regal and more. Additional showtimes may be added as the Dec. 17 opening date for the film draws closer, so if you are unsuccessful at first, keep checking back.

Locally-owned multiplexes, like the EPIC theater chain, which has locations in Mount Dora, Orlando and Clermont, also have good availability for opening weekend, but you’ll want to act fast if you want tickets to what is shaping up to be the first major blockbuster of the post-COVID era.

“Spider-Man: No Way Home” officially opens on Dec. 17 and will wrap up a trilogy of films that began with 2017’s “Spider-Man: Homecoming,” and continued with 2019’s “SpiderMan: Far From Home.” However, this won’t be the last we see of actor Tom Holland’s Spider-Man as producer Amy Pascal has confirmed that Holland will be returning in a new trilogy of films.
