Ticked off! @Christmas movies

-

I am ticked off that the entire medical profession seems to be composed of mostly paperwork in this day and age. I know that insurance policies require a lot of clarification and confirmation, but some practices seem to overdo it and waste my time and theirs. I am so tired of it and I imagine they are too, so someone needs to address this grievous situation.

I’m ticked off with Christmas movies on TV. Where are all the old standard Christmas movies like “White Christmas” and “Miracle on 34th Street?” We’re slammed with these new ones starring unknowns and with pat endings. I’ve given up on them already!

I am ticked off at the headlines per OS Sports, UCF Football: “Knights barely escape” but UF Football: “Gators win.” As a reminder, the Knights won by four points, and the Gators by three. Just saying.

To the Gator fan upset with college football rules. The “stop when your helmet comes” off is a rule in all football levels. If that running back would have had his face crushed by another player, would you then be complaining that there should have been a rule in place to protect him? The game officials handled the situation properly.

I’m ticked off at the constant rambling about comics in the newspaper. By the way, bring back The Far Side!

The flip side

I was shocked, in a good way, to witness a school dismissal the other day in College Park from a Catholic school on Edgewater Drive. The high school students waited patiently for a light to change at the corner of Edgewater Drive and Maury Road. There was no fighting, flinging of book bags, etc. When the light changed, they all walked across the road, in the crosswalk, and then proceeded to walk down the sidewalk on Maury Road. I wish they could/ would teach the students at Evans High School how this is done! Great job by these students!
