Ticked off! @long submittals

-

I’m ticked off when an online company notifies an item has shipped, when in fact they’ve only printed a label and/or notified a shipper to pick up. Usually, one or two more before any item is in transit.

I’m ticked off at all the trash calls I get. I don’t want to sell my house! I don’t have a grandson who was in an accident. There is nothing wrong with my computer. There are no suspicious transactions on my credit card account. That’s just a sampling of the stupid calls I get several times each day. I thought maybe I could furnish my standard answer to them here, “Stop calling me!”

It ticks me off that we went away for a week in Flagler County for a change of the same stuff. We were surprised that the advertising for the free concert more than 80 miles away was still on air. Disappointed to say the least; still can’t get away from the one and only.

I’m ticked off at lengthy ticked off submittals! Recently, two submissions took half the area. Many others didn’t get published because of it. Submitters, keep your submission down to 50 words, and be fair to the rest of us. To the pregnant “Karen” at the Publix last Thursday. Are you aware that when you called the special needs bagger rude, you totally ruined her day and made her feel horrible? She’s worked there for many years and I have never seen her so hurt. She was simply letting you know you were in the express lane with your full cart of groceries. I hope it made you feel superior. Sad.

The flip side

To the guy at store who had just checked out ahead of me. I realized I was one short of item to get the special deal and he saw I was in a handicap cart and volunteered to go and get me another. Thank goodness for people like this!
