Lions end winless streak

Jared Goff threw an 11-yard touchdown pass to Amon-Ra St. Brown as time expired, lifting the previously winless Lions to a 29-27 win over the Vikings on Sunday in Detroit.

Not only was the finish dramatic, it was stunning. Goff led the Lions on a 75-yard decisive possession without a timeout after Kirk Cousins threw a go-ahead 3-yard TD pass to Justin Jefferson with 1:50 left. The Vikings (5-7) failed on a 2-point conversion for the third time.

Goff threw two TD passes in the first half to put the Lions ahead by 14 points.

The Lions (1-10-1) ended a 15-game winless streak, giving first-year coach Dan Campbell his first victory with the franchise.

Kyler Murray threw for two TDs to lead the Cardinals to the road win. The NFC West leaders, who have the league’s best record, intercepte­d Andy Dalton four times. Murray completed 11 of 15 passes for 123 yards, giving him 10,092 in three seasons. At 24 years, 120 days, he became the fourth-youngest player with 10,000 career yards passing. Murray also joined Cam Newton as the only players in NFL history with at least 10,000 yards passing and 1,500 rushing in his first three seasons. Buccaneers 30, Falcons 17: Tom Brady threw for 368 yards and four TDs — two of them to TE Rob Gronkowski — and the visiting Bucs moved to the brink of clinching the NFC South title. Eagles 33, Jets 18: Gardner Minshew started in place of an injured Jalen Hurts and led the Eagles to scores on their first seven possession­s and the road win. Dolphins 20, Giants 9: Tua Tagovailoa threw a pair of TD passes, and the host Dolphins extended their winning streak to five games. Colts 31, Texans 0: Jonathan Taylor ran for 143 yards and two TDs and the Colts rolled on the road. Taylor, who leads the NFL in yards rushing, has 16 rushing TDs this season, which ties the franchise record set by Lenny Moore in 1964.

Washington 17, Raiders 15: Taylor Heinicke threw two TD passes and new kicker Brian Johnson’s game-winning 48-yard FG with 37 seconds left to lead the visitor to its fourth straight win. Rams 37, Jaguars 7: Cooper Kupp, Van Jefferson and Odell Beckham Jr. caught TD passes from Matthew Stafford, and the host Rams ended a three-game skid. Sony Michel rushed for 121 yards and a score in the win.
