Arrest made after gunfire incident at Orange County high school
A suspect in a shooting at an Orange County high school parking lot Monday has been arrested.
Orange County Sheriff ’s Office detectives investigated the incident that happened after dismissal at East River High School, which is located near Bithlo in east Orange County.
Mandrel Harper, 19, of Deltona, was arrested in Volusia County on Tuesday night, according to a statement from the sheriff ’s office.
Harper was charged with attempted second degree murder with a firearm and discharging a weapon on school property, the sheriff ’s office stated. Harper was booked into the Volusia County Jail.
The sheriff ’s office said that it appeared that no one was injured in the shooting.

St. Cloud man dead, 3 injured after 2-car crash on U.S. Hwy 192
One person is dead and three were injured after a Wednesday morning crash between two vehicles on an Osceola County highway, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
At 6 a.m. two vehicles crashed at U.S. Highway 192, and Nova Road, said Lt. Kim Montes.
A 2003 Dodge Neon driven by a 56-year-old St. Cloud woman was traveling eastbound on US 192, and attempted to make a left-hand turn north onto Nova Road directly in front of the path of a westbound 2018 Honda Pilot driven by a 69-year-old New York man. The front end of the Pilot struck the right side of the Neon.
A 27-year-old St. Cloud man, the passenger in the Neon, was pronounced dead at the scene. The Neon’s driver with serious injuries and the Pilot’s driver and passenger, a 68-yearold New York woman, with minor injuries were transported to Osceola Regional Medical Center, Montes said.
There crash blocked eastbound traffic Wednesday morning.

OPD: Woman crashes vehicle into home
A woman suffered a medical episode Tuesday night as she drove in the Windhover neighborhood and crashed her vehicle into a home, according to the Orlando Police Department.
The unidentified woman was driving in the 6200 block of Sancrest Circle when she lost control of her vehicle, said OPD spokesperson Heidi Rodríguez.
No one inside the house was injured, Rodríguez said, and the driver was taken to a hospital for treatment of the medical episode.

Police investigate drive-by shooting in Orlando neighborhood
Orlando police are investigating a drive-by shooting that happened Tuesday night near the Richmond Heights neighborhood.
Three homes were struck by bullets when someone fired shots from a vehicle in the 4000 block of Booker Street, according to OPD spokesperson Heidi Rodríguez.
No injuries were reported, Rodríguez. Details about the suspected shooter and possible motive were not released.
