‘Selling Tampa’ scores big on Netflix
The ladies of Allure Reality can add another win to their long list of accomplishments: top show on Netflix.
“Selling Tampa,” which debuted on Netflix earlier this week, has rocketed to the top of the streamer’s self-reported charts, becoming the number one TV show in the U.S. on the service in a mere 24 hours after release.
The hit series follows Sharelle Rosado, founder of Allure Realty, an all-Black, all-female real estate firm that has its eyes set on dominating the world of luxury waterfront real estate in Tampa.
Rosado couldn’t be more proud of this accomplishment saying, “The fact that we were number one trending within 24 hours of the release, just confirms that this show is something that the world needed to see. I’m very grateful and feel blessed to have been given this opportunity and this platform to not only share my story but the story of other inspirational women.”
“Selling Tampa” stars Rosado, Alexis Williams, Anne-Sophie Petit, Colony Reeves, Juawana Williams, Karla Giorgio, Rena Frazier and Tennille Moore.
Cast member Petit also commented on the success of the show via Instagram, saying she is “grateful that so many of you took me in with open arms,” adding, “I just want to say thank you for all of the support.”
Netflix has yet to
announce if “Selling Tampa” will return for another season, but Rosado is hopeful, saying, “We look forward to everything
that’s coming and the possibility of many more projects in the future.”
If the streamer follows the pattern of parent show
“Selling Sunset,” viewers will likely be able to see another installment near the end of 2022.
All eight episodes of the
first season are streaming now on Netflix.
