Ticked off!

- @parking complaints

Receiving a daily dose on the local and national news of COVID-19 ticks me off. It’s time to have some positive news.

I can understand why a correspondent would like to see the male equivalent of the birth control pill available for women. But the answer is simple. The pill that ladies have been using for decades only has to deal with one egg cell. Since gentlemen produce hundreds of thousands sperm cells at a single time, the difficulties in creating a “Male Pill” that’s every bit as effective as the “Female Pill” are far more challenging.

I’m ticked off at criticism of people at gas pumps who leave to pay. You should be criticizing the vendor, not the patron. At a popular gas station on

State Road 436, I have to go inside every time I pump gas to get my receipt.

To the individual ticked off at the unwanted donation solicitations after contributing to worthy charities, I feel your pain. I too received socks, gloves, Christmas cards and other assorted junk from organizations I never heard of. They don’t need to be sending me this junk. They need to be spending the money on worthy endeavors.

I’ve been going to the same local gas station for 20 plus years, I always park at pump #5, sometimes I get gas, sometimes not. I go in to get Lotto, beer, chips, etc. Other times I’ll go in to chit-chat with the clerk for 10-20 minutes. If my truck is blocking you, please go to another pump. The end.

The flip side

Yesterday I lost a hubcap on Ronald Reagan Boulevard. Lucky for me, some unselfish person found it and leaned it up against a fire hydrant. I got it back the same day. Many thanks and God bless you for being such a wonderful person!

Thank you to all who made the effort to put Christmas lights up, especially those who went above and beyond! Your displays are beautiful!
