Ticked off! @food prices

-

So what if Florida has the most tolls? That’s better to make the actual user pay in an as-you-go manner, as opposed to California where gas is $2 more a gallon to pay for their freeway upkeep that is constantly under repair. Why should 24 million people pay for the 6 million that use those heavily traveled corridors? The person who complained is saving $2 a gallon and only pays when he uses the turnpike.

I am ticked off that not only has the (price of ) limited amount of vegetarian food that I am dependent on gone up, but a lot is not available. I am a senior citizen with a fixed income and the food stamps I was getting have now been cut down to $20 a month. There is no help for a single household; you have to have children living with you. I will be living on peanut butter and jelly for my meals.

To the person who thinks “It makes you the laughing stock of sports” to name bowl games, arenas and stadiums after products, you might want to understand how much those companies pay for those naming rights. Yes, it sounds silly sometimes with bowls and stadiums being named after products, but without that sponsor money the cost of tickets would be much higher than they already prohibitively are.

Whoever scheduled the NFL playoffs should sit in Buffalo stadium Saturday night. This game should have been in the afternoon. Weather forecast — wind chill below 0°!

It ticks me off that the breakfast cereal I like went up .70 cents in one week. Talk about corporate greed!

The flip side

I would like to send a big thank you to the young man who stopped to help me after my trash can had been tipped over and the contents spilled everywhere. He helped this old man clean it all up and saved my day, Thank you!
