As former UCF and Florida State quarterback McKenzie Milton begins to prepare for the NFL Draft, the college football star will have to prepare for something else rather big in his life: becoming a father.

Milton and his fiancee, Jany Arbos, announced Tuesday evening they are growing their family by one later this year.

“Swipe for a surprise,” Milton wrote on Instagram. “10HANA adding one more to the family this summer.”

After dating for some time, Milton proposed to Arbos at the start of the new year and she said yes.

Milton wrapped up his college career at UCF’s Bounce House last weekend in the Hula Bowl, which offered an opportunity to practice and play in front of more than 100 scouts from the NFL, Canadian Football League and other professional organizations.

“I’ll be training out [in Orlando] and training in California periodically,” Milton said when asked what’s next for him the draft process. “I’ll be up in Tallahassee March 17 for Pro Day.”

Milton led the Knights to 27-6 record as a starter, including an undefeated 2017 season, and two American Athletic Conference championships. The Hawaiian high school star suffered a catastrophic knee injury during the regular-season finale in 2018 which forced him to miss the 2019 and 2020 seasons.

After graduating from UCF and completing a long road to recovery, Milton transferred to Florida State to close out his college campaign. Appearing in 6 games for the Seminoles, Milton threw for 775 yards and 3 touchdowns to go along with 6 interceptions while making 4 starts.

Milton was named one of three winners of the 2021 Mayo Clinic Comeback Player of the Year Award on Tuesday, sharing the honor with Michigan defensive lineman Aidan Hutchinson and Kentucky linebacker J.J. Weaver.

Milton believes his tape from Hula Bowl practice was “pretty good” while showcasing his skillset throughout the past week to scouts.

“I felt like I did a good job, got better and I’m going to keep progressing come Pro Day,” he said after the game.

As Milton shifts to what’s next in his football career and reflects on some of his biggest moments in college, he’ll prepare for perhaps the most significant in his life.
