Ticked off! @breaking news

-

I’m ticked off that my Earth Day was disrupted by the loud noise coming from the fairgrounds in the form of a so-called concert that consisted of more noise than music. I live several miles away and was trying to enjoy the day working in the earth! Every time the city allows a concert at the fairgrounds, my neighbors and I have to suffer through the noise pollution. The city should install sound barriers behind the stage and be more considerate of private county residents who are forced to endure the noise.

Not only am I, as so many other people, ticked off about rising prices, but also ticked off at the big mart and their incorrect pricing. Checked online for an item and saw one price. The shelf tag was another price, a little higher. And then the item rang up at the register at an even higher price! Ticks me off that I put the effort (in) to save a dime and it ends up being just a waste of time.

I’m ticked off that for the first time in many years I’m required to pay income taxes.

It ticks me off that when the county publishes announcements of proposed land use changes you cannot read the map because the print and picture are so small and not clear. Make the picture clear when these mandatory announcements are printed.

It ticks me off that so many people think trees are being “killed” to make paper products, such as cardboard. Companies plant trees specifically to harvest and after cutting they immediately replant. It’s not like old growth forests are being cleared to make paper receipts.

I’m ticked off that Channel 6 keeps interrupting “The Price is Right” for “Breaking News!” Here’s some viewers’ Breaking News: We don’t care what is breaking because you can just talk about it on your noon show.

The flip side

A big thank you to our server Kate and the Winter Park Olive Garden for their fantastic service going above and beyond! They made our day.
