Patriots senior Kailey Reese was selected as the first recipient of the Florida Dairy Farmers Miss Wrestling award as the state’s best across all weight classes. She went 39-0 and was state champion in the 125-pound weight class.

The state coach-of-theyear honor went to Freedom’s Mikel Bush. He led a program that dominated the state meet with 142 points, well ahead of second-place Ponte Vedra (67).

Reese pinned her final 12 opponents. That included her four state tournament matches that lasted a total of 9 minutes and 4 seconds.
