Ticked off! @hand dryers

-

I’m ticked off at businesses that have hand dryers in their bathrooms. When someone flushes the toilet, what is in it is sent into the air. When you use the hand dryer, feces and urine are blown onto your hands. How nasty.

I am really ticked off at irresponsible parents who encourage their kids to ride their electric scooters on city sidewalks. These scooters can go really fast, at least 15 MPH and some as fast as 30 MPH, creating a hostile, dangerous environment for elderly pedestrians, children and others. It is unlawful to ride an e-scooter on a sidewalk according to Florida Statutes 316.1995. These drivers/riders are supposed to yield to pedestrians at all times. Furthermore, they should wear helmets. These clueless parents are not protecting their kids and their neighbors from harm. Electric scooter injuries, which are on the rise in Florida, can include head injuries, lacerations, broken bones and bruises. Plus, there have been deaths and lawsuits in relation to e-scooters. Parents need to find out what the law is and teach their kids to be responsible adults who are considerate of others.

I am ticked off at the “fancy” restaurant in Winter Park. We were trying to have lunch on their patio when I was refused admission for wearing $100 Keen black sandals! They said they do not permit flip flops, which I told them they were not. I said we would write Ticked off! and the manager said that would be fine with her! What a joke; there are so many places to dine in Winter Park, please avoid this one!

I’m ticked off ! I used to be able to afford a steak or two a month. Now that meat packing has consolidated to four companies, I am lucky to have a hamburger or two a month.

The flip side

Iwasa walk-in at the Winter Springs CVS miniclinic this morning and even though they had no appointments available, the nurse practitioner took time to see me. Thank you, Janish, for your time and for making me laugh!
