Ticked off! @toll authority

-

Just got off the phone paying a small amount in tolls the crooked toll authority says I owe. I tried to pay it online on their website but that did not work three times, so I phoned them. I paid the small amount because I did not wish to get into a debate with morons but I will never ever set tire on the toll roads in Florida again. Why? Because I paid in coins the same two tolls I was billed for. Whenever a toll booth came up, I chose to pay with cash to avoid the backed up toll lines. My wife and I carried plenty of coins for this purpose. Evidently the problems (or on purpose?) of the toll authority are far from fixed, as our son warned us. Take heed. Others cheated should protest these crooks.

What the heck is going on at our very busy international airport? Arriving to the airport has major traffic backlog and pick up is beyond a nightmare. People are allowed to sit in their cars for 15 minutes with no one moving people on. Come on OIA, please get your act together. These problems are fixable!

I’m ticked at people’s long-winded tirades that take up half this column. Keep it short and sweet and maybe most of us will read it! They’re usually the kind of ramblers you try to avoid in public!

I am extremely ticked off that the county refuses to open the Pine Hills Community Center for community meetings. It can’t be because of COVID at this time since it has been open for VPK for almost a year now. The citizens of Pine Hills deserve access to their community center for meetings and other gatherings.

The flip side

Thank you to the nice gentleman who came to my rescue and helped me fix my bicycle so I could ride home. He took time from his morning to walk to lend a hand. Chivalry is not dead!
