Ticked off! @home sale calls

-

I am ticked off that my grandson’s lunch was stolen when he went to the bathroom. If this can happen in the first grade, what will that crooked child be up to come middle school?

I am ticked off that my latest and newest restaurant was cited for rodent activity. Ugh!

I am ticked off that the Orange County Schools can’t handle discipline. I can tell you how to fix it and I’ll do it for less salary than the current superintendent. I can promise some people won’t like it - tough! Assigning a task force is typical ineffective leadership.

It really ticks me off that I receive unwanted phone calls daily from these sorry folks asking me if I want to sell my home. I would have a sign in my yard if I wanted to sell my home.

I’m ticked off at the amount of litter I see on all our streets and roads around our beautiful Orlando! Come on people, quit throwing out your trash! Keep your truck beds clear of trash. Report trash trucks spewing litter everywhere. We all need to help.

I have a solution for all TV viewers who are rightfully appalled at the behavior of TV news personalities and commercials — don’t view live TV. Record your shows or designate them for streaming. This way you can fast-forward past all the insanely happy news people blathering endlessly about complete nonsense and all the ridiculously annoying lawyer and car commercials. What a relief it is!

The flip side

As I was walking my dog, Daisy, near the Maitland Middle School field, I suddenly found myself face down on the sidewalk. Several neighbors, who I didn’t know, rushed over to help. When I got to my feet, a kind gentleman named Art, loaded me and my dog into his car and drove me home. Later that day Art came back to check on me. I am so grateful for the kindness Art provided and the concern of these Good Samaritans. We are blessed when neighbors get involved and look after the wellbeing of others.
