Ticked off! @spring training prices

-

I am ticked off that the food delivery company delivered all my items on St. Patrick’s Day except the corned beef and cabbage. It was too late to re-order. I received a refund but I feel empty, incomplete. I could order today, but it just tastes different on St. Patty’s Day.

I’m watching Spectrum’s telecast of the Oscars, and right before the presentation of Best Picture - 3 ½ hours in - I get a popup onscreen asking if I want to continue watching. Suddenly, I have to find my remote to click “Yes” before they kill the broadcast.

I just bought two tickets to the Marlins-Cardinals preseason game next week. The seats are $47 each plus $10 per ticket and $5 per order “fees.” Then, parking is $13 plus a $2 parking “fee.”

Then, they actually charge another $10 per ticket plus $3 “fees” per ticket just to watch batting practice before the game. This is spring training, not the World Series. And this was all purchased direct from the Cardinals’ box office, not from a corporate scalper like Ticketmaster.

I am ticked off at college basketball and a certain coach who just showed how classless he is as well as the program. You win a game and the coach takes his shirt off and the team does not even shake the other teams hands. Very classless organization. What happened to sportsmanship?

I am ticked off that the City of Winter Garden does not get rid of the ever growing homeless population. They are druggies and criminals stealing from stores, homeowners, and begging for money. But hey, as long as they don’t walk around in the farmers market and pretty downtown, right? We should be as safe on West Colonial Drive as Plant Street.

The flip side

Kudos to the increased IRS staffing. It took six months to get my refund last year by mail. This year, I got it in one month.
