Kissinger left trail of destruction
A recent letter published in the Orlando Sentinel (Dec. 3) lauded the “monumental achievements” of the late Henry Kissinger as “a unique man who will not escape history.” The reason he will not escape history is not for the “achievements” the writer had in mind. It’s ironic this letter appeared in the Sentinel on the same day as an article entitled “Kissinger still haunts Latin America.” It’s not just Latin America that Kissinger haunts. He left a trail of destruction in East Timor, Bangladesh, Laos, Vietnam and Cambodia that resulted in the suffering and death of millions. While he was still alive, it’s regrettable he managed to escape accountability.
