Patricia A Keenan

Patricia (Pat) Keenan peacefully passed away on Tuesday, January 16, 2024 at the age of 86.

Born on March 7, 1937 in Flint Michigan to Robert and Mary Belill. She was the middle of two sisters, Marie Wenn of Williamsburg, VA and Barb Belill of Houghton Lake, MI. Pat was valedictorian of her 1955 high school class. She went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in 1959 from Central Michigan University in Education. Pat began teaching Home Economics shortly after graduating at the local high school in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan. On August 22, 1959, she married the love of her life Joseph Keenan and had 3 children. The family moved to New Brighton, Minnesota in 1969-1982 where she worked as a real estate agent. She then moved to Wheaton, IL from 1982-1984 and worked in an insurance agent’s office . In 1984 Pat and Joe move to Nokomis, Florida, where she continued work with another Insurance agent until she retired in 1997. In 1999 she moved to Leesburg, Fl. She enjoyed traveling the world, reading, playing cards and spending time with family and friends.

Pat was preceded in death by her son Robert Keenan. She is survived by her husband Joseph Keenan, son Joseph Keenan Jr. (Doris), daughter Deborah Nielsen (Scott), granddaughter’s Cassy Aristizabal (Mateo) and Nicole Nielsen, Grandson Cody Keenan (Jenn) and Great-Granddaughters Gabby and Lili Aristizabal.

Pat was an extraordinary women with a heart of gold and will be missed tremendously by all who loved her. Donations to the Diabetes Association or St. Jude in her name are greatly appreciated.
