Ticked off! @phone help lines

-

It makes me mad that every time I call a help line for almost all companies, they say they are experiencing “higher than normal call volumes” and “longer than normal wait times.” If you say this every day for weeks or months on end, then high volumes and long waits are your new normal! Please staff up accordingly. And please stop putting me into an extended hold and then lying to me by telling me that “this call is important to us.”

Iamso ticked off that I had to replace my two-yearold refrigerator again! Why doesn’t anything mechanical last anymore? When I was young our kitchen appliances lasted a lifetime.

I am ticked off by Christmas decorations in February! If you have time to decorate for Christmas then you have time to remove them! If you are too lazy to take down the decorations in January then do not decorate! I wish code enforcement would fine people for Christmas decorations after January and use that money for housing assistance for the elderly and disabled persons!

I am ticked off at people who still have not taken down their Christmas decorations! Especially those individuals with a ridiculous and ostentatious display! You should not decorate your home and lawn if you are too lazy to take the Christmas display down within a reasonable time frame after Christmas! All Christmas decorations should be taken down right after Three Kings Day but no later than January 15! They are an eyesore after that!

You’re watching football with your kid, who’s also a football nut. He hears Patrick Mahomes is making $50 million+ this season, and he turns to you and asks, “Dad, why do you only make $60,000?”

Hey, Swift Haters: Can you look in a mirror and say “misogynistic loser?” I knew you could!

The flip side

If someone knows the person who paid for my mother-in-law’s lunch in Altamonte Springs last Monday, please give them a hug from me.
