Ticked off! @pickleball politics

-

I’ve been playing pickleball at the local courts for two years now. I’ve made many friends there and I’m unaware of their political views, and I’d like to keep it that way. I think that’s the consensus. In the past week, on two separate occasions, two women with strong convictions have made snarky political comments/ assumptions about my choice in media both print and broadcast. I cannot unsee them for who they are now. And that’s a game changer for me — no more soft game. I’m done dinking!

I’m ticked off at Spectrum’s new Xumo streaming service for losing their feed with 36 seconds left in the Super Bowl and the game on the line. And then losing it again during OT! The service is far from super, your customers were the losers, and Xumo gets a zero score from me.

I’m ticked off that the Super Bowl starts at 6:40 p.m. Bring back the days when it started at 3 p.m.! I fell asleep by the second quarter as I am now old and retired. Plus it would eliminate the most called-in “sick-day” the following Monday!

I am ticked off that both Walgreens that are by my home in Pine Hills are not reliable! The closest one doesn’t always have a pharmacist on duty! The other Walgreens is always out of prescription medications and I have to wait for them to restock. They are inconsistent on their delivery policies, and at least one technician does not know the difference between pills and insulin for diabetes! I do not understand why Walgreens management in Pine Hills does not feel the need to maintain professional standards in a low income area!

To the creep who found my diamond bracelet in Costco, but failed to turn it in. You live with it. I’ll live without it! Karma is coming for you.

The flip side

Thank you to the convenience store clerk who waved me through the long line because I only had a coffee. Made my day.
