Candidate forums set around Butte County
Several candidate events and forums are planned in Butte County over the next several weeks, including ones in Chico, Durham, Oroville, and Paradise.
The League of Women Voters of Butte County have several forums planned, which are being announced and accessible through its website via Zoom https:// my. lwv. org/ cal i fornia/ butte- county
Forum information on the league’s website is listed in the calendar section, with links. The schedule and past league forums are accessible at https:// bit. ly/3kOfftw as time permits.
On Sept. 29, at 6 p.m. the Oroville City Council forum is planned by the league.
On Sept. 30 at 6 p.m. the Chico Area Recreation and Park District candidates program can be viewed.
For the Chico City Council race, because there are so many candidates, the league will pre-record the interviews and then post them to its website as they are done.
On Sept. 26, starting at 8 a.m. the league will host a voter registration and census information table at the Chico Saturday Farmers Market, East Second and Wall streets.
On Oct. 2, at 6 p.m. the California Assembly 3rd District forum is planned by the league.
On Oct. 5 at 6 p.m. the Chico Unified School District forum is planned.
On Oct. 7 at 6 p.m. the DurhamUnified School District forum is planned.
On Oct. 8 at 6 p.m. the pros and cons of the ballot measures will be presented by the league.
Also on Oct. 8 at 6 p.m., the Oroville Exchange Club plans a candidates forum for Oroville City Council candidates on Zoom. The webinar number is 704-1776131 and passcode is “candidate.” Questions can be emailed to ExchangeClubofOroville@gmail.com until Oct. 5.
On Oct. 9 at 6 p.m. the Oroville City Elementary Unified School District forum is planned by the League ofWomen Voters of Butte County.
On Oct. 11 at 4 p.m. the Paradise Irrigation District forum is planned by the league.
The Chico Chamber hosted a candidates forum Thursday for City Council candidates which is posted to its website www.chicochamber.com
Candidates from Paradise campaigns are being recorded in advance and will be placed on the Paradise Chamber of Commerce website www.paradisechamber.com in early October.
