Orland High alum Rosas makes return with Jags
Orland High alum kicks 4 field goals in road loss
Aldrick Rosas kicked 4field goals for the Jaguars after being added to roster fromthe practice squad.
Jacksonville Jaguars coach Doug Marrone could have fired his defensive coordinator or his analytics adviser following a paltry performance at Cincinnati on Sunday.
Instead, he defended both.
No one was buying either argument.
The Jaguars were gouged on the ground and picked apart by a rookie quarterback in a 33-25 loss to the Bengals, who dominated the second half to get their first victory of the season. The Jaguars (1-3) have dropped three in a row.
Maybe Marrone felt bad for his close friend and defensive coordinator Todd Wash when the coach made what many would consider a boneheaded decision to try for a 2-point conversion after Jacksonville scored a touchdown to slice into a 14-point lead with 6:14 remaining. REVOLVING KICKERS » Orland High alumnus Aldrick Rosas was added to the Jacksonville roster from the practice squad after the team ran out of kickers. Josh Lambo ( hip) is on injured reserve, and rookie Brandon Wright was waived after straining his right hamstring in a Week 3 loss to Miami. Stephen Hauschka was signed Monday but was inactive because of soreness. Rosas, who was cut by the New York Giants in the summer, was added Saturday.
He missed a 48-yard attempt in the first quarter but converted on four others, including a 50-yarder in the second half.
BILLS 30, RAIDERS 23 » Shaking off a banged-up left shoulder, Josh Allen threw for two touchdowns and rushed for another, leading Buffalo to a victory over Las Vegas.
Buffalo has opened consecutive seasons with 4- 0 records, just the third time in team history and first since the 1991 and ‘92, both season when the Bills lost in the Super Bowl.
The Bills have scored 30 points in three consecutive games, and are averaging 30.75 points per game, third highest in the NFL.
Las Vegas (2-2) lost its second straight game after falling in New England last week.
