Another warning of park fire possibility

It is of extreme concern, Bidwell Park is a tinderbox waiting to ignite. It should be of utmost priority to citizens of Chico and especially members of the City Council, as guardians of our city, that immediate safety measures are put in place. If a fire were to start and flourish, homes on both sides of the park would be consumed in minutes.

Attention should be to having dry and dead debris, i.e. trees, vines, brush and trash, removed promptly. Funds are there to do so. Taking no action could prove fatal.
