Some early appointees are not OK, Joe

-

Look at Joe Biden’s “informed and steady” appointees for key administrative positions:

Secretary of State, Antony Blinken: Blinken’s been a grim cheerleader for the US invasion and occupation of Iraq, Israel’s bombings of the walledin Gaza people, and the disintegration of the State of Libya — now an ungovernable world center for slave trading and a training grounds for jihadi terrorists.

Director of National Intelligence,

Avril Haines: Haines cowrote Obama’s infamous drone playbook normalizing targeted assassinations around the world. As legal adviser to the National Security Council, she worked on complex readings to legalize such attacks and was known to be called in the middle of the night to determine which suspected terrorist at a given time could be neutralized by a drone strike. Against more temperate advice, Haines endorsed Trump’s 2018 nominee for CIA Director — Gina Haskel, the woman who oversaw the CIA torture prisons (remember Abu Ghraib?).

Favorite to lead the Pentagon, Michele Flournoy: Flournoy is now on the board of military contractor, Booz Allen Hamilton. She co-founded the hawkish think tank, Center for a New American Security — largely funded by war contractors. Flournoy was a major backer of the gruesome disaster in Libya, the wars on Yemen and Syria, and has firmly opposed troop withdrawals from any parts of the Middle East and Afghanistan.

These nominees are denizens of the deepest of the Deep State. It doesn’t bode well for peacemakers, the climate, the crumbling US infrastructure … and us.
