Only guilty people need to be pardoned Ten signs you are in the Cult of Trump

-

Dear President Trump, I have been hearing a lot of talk lately that you are intending to pardon a number of administration persons — including three of your children — before you are ushered out of office shortly. I simply can not believe this. For, as we all know your administration has consisted of nothing but the finest people.

I am pretty sure that with all of your important activities these day, such as ignoring all of those ‘nasty’ people faking death from that hoax disease that you conquered months ago and all that fundraising mostly for, well, whatever you want to do with it aside from recount activities; yes, even stuffing in your pockets.

I wanted to ask you: “DO you have people guilty of crime(s) in your administration?” You probably won‘ t get time to answer me back; so,

I’ll just watch what you do and not what you say. Because only if there were, in fact, crimes committed during your presidency would pardons be needed. Because as everybody, especially you, know: “only guilty people plead the 5th or require a pardon.”

Thank you for your time. #PARDONSMEANSCRIMES — David Fundakowski, Chico

I was in a cult. I know a cult when I see one. Ten indicators you are in the Cult of Trump:

1. The leader is the ultimate authority. Criticizing the leader, even if true, is not allowed. Cult leaders convince members to give up critical thinking, best self interest and good judgment in return for a sense of belonging. (Trump)

2. The group suppresses skepticism. People who contradict the group are viewed as persecutors and are labeled “anti.” (Democrats)

3. The group delegitimizes former members. They are dismissed as bitter and are persecuted by the leader. (Cohen, et al.)

4. The group is paranoid. Cults thrive on conspiracy theories and label non-believers as evil. (QANON)

5. The group relies on shame and guilt. You need your cult to feel worthy and wanted. (Trumpers)

6. The leader is above the law. Cultists will perform any amount of “mental gymnastics” to ignore leaders’ lies and illegal behavior. They accuse others of crimes they themselves commit. (Trumpers)

7. The leader uses “brainwashing” methods. All cult leaders know that if you continually repeat lies you can get followers to believe anything. (I won)

8. The group is elitist. Your leader says they alone have the answers, not even scientists. ( What pandemic?)

9. No financial transparency. Leader lives opulently while you starve. (Taxes)

10. Secrets. Symbols and hand gestures. (OK)
