Time to outlaw the Republican Party

-

Regarding the editorial criticizing Congressman Doug LaMalfa for his complicity with Trump in refusing to accept the election results and also Trump’s encouragement of the violence in Washington DC. Trump told groups like the “Proud Boys” to stand by.

First, the Chico E-R was indeed in error by making a dual endorsement of both Doug LaMalfa and Audrey Denney in last November’s election. The paper should have only endorsed Audrey Denney. Nothing that LaMalfa does is surprising.

Along with Fascist racist outfits like the KKK, Boogaloo Movement, Proud Boys and other white supremacist groups and right-wing militias that Trump encourages, the Republican Party must also be outlawed right down to the local levels. For any Republican office holders who don’t believe in Trumpism and who believe that matters like COVID must seriously be addressed, they can form another party. Trump, Pence, Mitch McConnell all need to be thrown out of office and in prison for the harm that they have done. I believe that from the time that Trump stated on election night that he would not accept the election results, that the military (the majority who don’t like Trump anyway) should have entered the White House and thrown Trump and Pence out and arrested them. Joe Biden could have then been given the customary briefings and been sworn into office earlier. in view of all this, there’s no reason why this should not have happened.
