Beware the evils of wanting political power Trump drives away a faithful supporter
Nothing illustrates the reason for our Federal System of Governance better than the recent object lesson of Vice President Mike Pence declaring the results of the election in the House Chamber. Calm and deliberative vs. the snarling assault on the Peoples House. Mobs are unpredictable, impulsive and swayed by whatever moves them at the moment. That is exactly why we employ deliberative bodies to make decisions. Almost anyone can make a snap decision that contains no grain of fact or reason.
One of the best illustrations of the mob phenomenon is the look on the faces of the mob members when they finally reached their objective. They looked like tourists with expressions of amazement and wonder at the beautiful edifice. But suddenly they reverted back to their true selves. Bigots, false flag patriots, worshipers of other gods, personality cult members, intolerant and most alarming “hateful.” Driven by hatred for those of us who love our country they proceeded to threaten the very lives of our elected representatives. They chanted, “hang Mike Pence.”
They proved once again that the lust for political power is anti-Christian. There is no compatibility between religious belief and raw political power. That is why we must reject those who use religion to justify their lust for political power. Where governments are concerned we need the law. Grace is a thing for religion. The only place they meet is in caring for the weak, infirm, elderly, widow, child, and powerless.

Dear Mr. President, The mayhem you initiated on January 6 in Washington D.C. was wrong, wrong, wrong in all accounts. As a citizen that voted for you, you broke my heart. You managed to destroy with a two-minute speech everything that you did good in the last four years as president, and more than anything else you betrayed the 72 million people that voted for you on Nov.3, 2020.
It is a shame that you managed to bring upon all of us who gave you our vote. There were many comments in the past about your cognitive capacity that I always disregarded but now I realized that I was wrong. Your behavior unlashed a great deal of hatred from the leadership of the Democratic Party which is now talking about a rapid impeachment. However, “A fast track impeachment is not justice; It will be a pointless revenge” as Washington Post very well explained. And, as Mike Wolcott mention in the Sunday edition “Hating each other, is wasted time.”
This country has been riddled we hate for the last eight years. It is time to stop this hatred. As Rodney King once said: Can we all just get along?
