The outbreak of COVIDhas rapidly changed everyday life in Butte County. It is a quick-moving situation in which it is important to stay informed. This is a list of basic informatio­n and resources. It will be updated.

By the numbers (through Friday)

Butte County: 9,544 confirmed cases (increase of 69 from Thursday), 1,303 probable cases with 8,952 recoveries, 51 hospitaliz­ed, 134 deaths (increase of four from Thursday). 146,791 total tests.

Glenn County: 1,904 confirmed cases (no update since Thursday), 406 probable cases with 1,922 recoveries, 18 hospitaliz­ed, 20 deaths. 13,829 total tests.

Tehama County: 4,408 confirmed cases (increase of 68 from Thursday) with 2,380 recoveries, 17 hospitaliz­ed, 44 deaths. 25,078 total tests.

Vaccine informatio­n

Butte County Public Health is currently in Phase 1B, Tier 1, of vaccine distributi­on, which includes essential emergency services and education workers. People 75 years of age and older are also in this tier. Individual­s and businesses are invited to register at www.buttecount­y.net/ph/ COVID19/ vaccineCli­nics. Once determined eligible to receive a vaccinatio­n, individual­s will be contacted by invitation to get vaccinated at a clinic.

Butte County informatio­n help line: 530- 5523050, available 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Residents in Butte, Glenn, Shasta and Tehama counties can dial 2-1-1 anytime to get informatio­n on the crisis and get connected to resources as they become available. Residents in those counties, along with Lassen, Siskiyou and Trinity, can also receive informatio­n by texting CORONAVIRU­S to 211-211.

Butte County Department of Employment and Social Services launched a Delivery Task Force: 2-1-1 or 552-3050.

The Northern Valley Talk Line now provides non-crisis peer to peer telephone service to the community 7 days a week from 11:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. 855-582-5554.
