Limbaugh’s rhetoric helped fuel an insurrection

The Enterprise-Record recently reported the death of Rush Limbaugh. While it is appropriate to be saddened by anyone’s death we should not forget or soft pedal Limbaugh’s real legacy.

As one of the founders and leading figures in ultra-right wing talk radio for three decades Limbaugh’s lies and misrepresentations helped to poison American political discourse and turn Americans against one another. There is a direct line from Limbaugh’s overheated rhetoric to Republican efforts to overturn the results of a fair and democratic election — and to the recent terrorist attack on our Capitol.

Rush Limbaugh was an enemy of our Constitution and a traitor to our nation and its people. Lest we forget!
